Autism Arena – https://autismarena.org.uk/: They offer a combination of Paid and free services to parents including peer support, EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan) Advice and webinars.
Barnardo’s – Leeds Children’s Rights Advocacy service – https://www.barnardos.org.uk/get-support/services/leeds-childrens-rights-advocacy-send-ehcp: Advocacy with EHCP’s
MindMate – https://mindmate.org.uk/neurodiversity-information-hub/: Neurodiversity hub for info and signposting. Might be worth sticking this at the top of the page and saying this is the main source of info for parents and carers.

Barnardo’s Neurodevelopmental Family Navigator Service: For families who are waiting for an assessment
Daisy Chain – Autism Central Coffee Mornings: These are monthly coffee mornings run for parents or carers of children who are autistic, have ADHD or other neurodevelopmental conditions. They take place at the Leeds Central Library. The service also runs a drop-in sessions for parents/carers of autistic children.

Carers Leeds

The main carers’ service in the Leeds area is provided by Carers Leeds. They offer one-to-one support for carers of autistic adults and also run regular support groups across the city. Here’s how you can get in touch with them:

Carers’ groups

  • Carers Leeds are running their monthly group for parents, carers and partners of autistic and neurodivergent adults in Leeds (aged 16+) in person. They meet on the third Thursday of every month from 1pm-2:30pm at Carers Leeds’ office on The Headrow in Leeds City Centre. To join, please email them at [email protected].
