This year, Leeds Autism AIM will be celebrating its’ 5th anniversary. The project was set up in 2015, aiming to offer advocacy, information, signposting and mentoring to autistic adults in Leeds who received little or no funded support.

Five years on, AIM has grown from its initial offering, with a number of staff, volunteers, community partners, funders and people accessing the service all playing their part. To mark this milestone, we would like to hold a celebration, but want your ideas before putting something together.

Your suggestions

If you have any ideas for how we should celebrate our 5th anniversary, we would love to hear them. Examples of how to mark it could include:

  • A celebration event
  • A performance night (e.g. poetry, stand-up comedy)
  • An art exhibition
  • A commemorative booklet

We are open to suggestions from anyone who has either worked with AIM or used any of our services. Ideally, they should be accessible to autistic people first and foremost.

Please send any of your ideas to us by email at [email protected]. The deadline for suggestions is Friday 28th February 2020 at 5pm. Then, the ideas will be chosen by AIM’s staff and steering group.

If we are to hold an art exhibition or performance night and you would like to have your work on display or perform yourself, please get in touch. Once we know what our celebration will involve, we will get back to you as soon as we can.
