Our weekly drop-in hub continues to go from strength to strength, with a couple of regular groups back this coming week. Here’s what we have on at our next Tuesday session:
Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 20th March – 3:30-7pm
First up, the Leeds Autism Diagnostic Service (LADS) team have their monthly consultation session. On from 3pm to 5pm, this is for booked appointments and is for anyone who is recently diagnosed or a parent/carer/partner of someone who is. They can help you to make sense of what it means to have an autism diagnosis.
Next, we’re able to produce personalised resources throughout the session. These include autism alert cards, GP profiles, employment profiles and hospital passports.
The Women’s Group is on from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. It is run by and for autistic women who live in the Leeds area. This month, they will be talking about employment and how it affects women differently.
Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau is in for the entire session. He can give useful information on areas such as benefits and personal finance. Contact us if you would like to book an appointment with him.
As is the case at every session, our staff will be around to provide limited advocacy support, give information and signpost you to any services that you want to access.
