We at Leeds Autism AIM would like to wish you all the best for 2018. After a week off for Christmas, our weekly drop-in and fortnightly hub session for booked appointments are back for the new year. We have a few things on for Tuesday, while it’s business as usual on Friday. Here’s what to expect next week:
Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 2nd January – 3:30pm-7pm
First on at our weekly drop-in, our Tabletop Gaming Group is on from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. There are a couple of spaces available on the day. Come along in person if you’re interested in joining in.
Next, we have volunteering info from Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL), starting at 3:30pm. VAL will be in to answer any questions you may have about becoming a volunteer and what benefits you can gain from it.
We will be able to provide personalised resources for some of the session. These include autism alert cards, GP profiles and hospital passports.
Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau will be in from 3:30pm to 7pm. He’s available to offer information on often difficult issues like benefits and money.
Our staff can offer limited advocacy support, as well as give information and signpost you to any relevant services that you might want to access.
Friday Autism Hub – Friday 5th January – 4pm-7pm
The Friday session is solely for booked appointments. We can offer limited advocacy support, as well as information and signposting. We also have:
- Employment advice from 4pm to 7pm
- Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau from 4pm to 6pm
If you want to come to the Friday session, you need to book an appointment with us and specify what time you would like to come. To do that, please contact us via our Contact page and we will be back in touch as soon as we can.
