Lovell Autism Hub

We have our Tuesday and Friday Hub sessions on next week. The former is, as usual, a drop-in session, whilst Fridays are for booked appointments and are quieter. Here’s what you can expect at both:

Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 21st November – 3:30pm-7pm

For the entire session, we will be able to produce personalised resources. These include autism alert cards, GP profiles, hospital passports and travel resources e.g. safe journey cards. If you would like any of these, all you need to do is ask.

We have an informal cooking session, starting at around 4pm. Anyone can join in the fun, plus whatever the group decides to make will then be served as dinner. It will be sold for a reasonable price and served piping hot.

Our monthly Women’s Group is on from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. This time, they will be discussing the twin topics of meditation and relaxation. Autistic women living in the Leeds area are welcome to come along.

Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau will be in for the whole session to offer information with areas like personal finance, housing and benefits.

As per usual, all of our staff and volunteers will be around to offer information and signposting, peer support and, above all else, advocacy support.

Friday Autism Hub – Friday 24th November – 4pm-7pm

At our session for booked appointments, we are able to give advocacy support, information and signpost you to any services that you might want to access. We can also offer a little peer support.

At the session, we also have Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau in for a couple of hours, as well as employment advice.

If you want to come to the Friday session, you must book an appointment with us. You can do so by contacting us and saying what you would like us to help you with.
