This month marks a month of change for Leeds Autism AIM, as we say goodbye to the Vale Autism Hub. For the first time, we will be running the Lovell Autism Hub at new times. Starting this Tuesday, it will run from 3.30pm to 7pm, once a week.
Most of our regular groups will still be on there, but with a new, quieter drop-in set to open at Lovell on Friday 28th April, one or two may be moving over to that session in future. Here is what you can expect to find at the first of our new-look Tuesday sessions:
Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 4th April – 3.30pm-7pm
Aspiedent’s fortnightly social skills training session is back on. That’s from 4pm to 6pm, but please note that there are no spaces available, as this training is fully-booked.
Also on from 4pm is a research session on volunteering, facilitated by Gary from Voluntary Action Leeds. Anyone who has any questions about becoming a volunteer or wants to discuss some of the barriers in place for would-be volunteers is welcome to come along. Gary will be in until 6.30pm.
Finally, our tabletop gaming group is back. That’s open to any autistic people in Leeds who want to join in. It’s on from 4pm to 6.30pm.
Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau will be in throughout the session, whilst our staff and volunteers will be able to offer advocacy support, information and signposting services.
