Owen

Owen is our Team Manager. Owen helps to oversee the AIM team and service as a whole. He previously worked as our Volunteer Coordinator, helping to support both our volunteers and people in mentoring matches.

Owen is also involved in our development work around employment.

Georgia Holden-Burnett
Deputy Manager

Georgia

Georgia is the Deputy Manager of the Mental Health Equity Project service.

Their role entails creating autism-specific resources, developing and delivering training, as well as co-facilitating peer support sessions.

Previously, they studied a Philosophy and Politics BA, as well being a founding committee member of the Leeds University Union’s Neurodivergent Society and being an elected member of University of East Anglia Student Union’s Environmental and Ethical Committee.

Danielle Furness
Mental Health Projects Coordinator

Danielle

Danielle is our new AIM Coordinator for Mental Health Projects. She coordinates and co-delivers training programmes aimed at enhancing the understanding and support for autistic individuals to advocates, social prescribers and staff within third sector mental health organisations across West Yorkshire.

She also conduct’s environmental audits tailored to the sensory, processing and communication needs of autistic people to improve accessibility and inclusivity for neurodivergent patients.

Cat Foote
Peer Development Worker

Cat

Cat is one of our Peer Development Workers. She co-facilitates the Mental Health Peer Support Group for Bradford and Craven Autism AIM and also works on some of our resources.

Before joining the MHEP team, Cat worked as a Universal Advocate for Leeds Autism AIM and The Advonet Group’s Community Advocacy team.

Eli Smith
Peer Development Worker

Eli is one of our Peer Development Workers. He is one of the co-facilitators of our Mental Health Peer Support Group in Leeds and works on some of our resources.

Before joining our team, Eli worked for CHANGE on their Out Spoken Project.

June Bushell
Peer Development Worker

June is one of our Peer Development Workers. They are involved in our sensory audits of mental health inpatient settings and contribute to some of our resources and training.

Nelly Doherty
Peer Development Worker

Nelly

Nelly is one of our Peer Development Workers, co-facilitating our Mental Health Peer Support Group for Bradford and Craven Autism AIM. Before joining our team, she worked on the Autism Health Access Projects for both Leeds Autism AIM and Bradford and Craven Autism AIM.

Luke Aylward
Information Officer

Luke

Luke does all of our info, including our social media and this website. He also works on resources like self-advocacy tools.

Luke is Communications and Network Officer for The Advonet Group. He has a degree in Journalism and was once chair of Leeds Asperger Adults, a support group that meets regularly in Leeds.

Away from work, Luke is the co-host of the Audible Autism podcast.
