The Lovell Autism Hub should be a comfortable environment for all visitors. To make sure that you and everyone else is fine, we have a code of conduct. Here are the rules:
Hub Rules
- Give Hub visitors personal space. If someone wants to be left alone, please leave them alone.
- We do not allow the possession or consumption of drugs or alcohol in the venue.
- If there’s something you’re unsure about, please talk to a member of staff
- We don’t tolerate discriminatory behaviour against people on the basis of race, gender, gender identity, sexuality, disability or religion.
- Please try to avoid talking over someone if they are speaking, whether in groups or one-to-one conversations.
- Please respect Hub visitors’ privacy at all times.
- Try not to speak too loudly. Being loud could trigger sensory overload in some Hub visitors.
- We won’t tolerate threatening behaviour or bullying. If you do either, we will ask you to leave.
- When on the premises, please be fully clothed at all times. We do not permit nudity at the Hub.
- If you breach any of the ground rules listed above, you will be asked to leave the Hub.
- If you have been asked to leave the Hub for any of the above reasons, our Manager will be in touch to discuss this with you.
- We kindly ask everyone to be mindful of potentially triggering topics. Please take into account how your words might impact others and exercise sensitivity, as we strive to maintain a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
- Please be mindful of language used, including swearing, as this may cause offence to others. Swearing directed at other people in the group or staff will not be tolerated.
- Please be respectful, civil, considerate, kind, and welcoming.
