While the nights are getting longer, our opening hours remain the same. To make sure you’re not in the dark about what we have on at our drop-in next week, here’s what we have going on at the Lovell Autism Hub. No tricks this Halloween; just treats!
Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 31st October – 3:30pm-7pm
First up at Lovell, Aspiedent have their fortnightly Employment Hub from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. For the first hour, they’ll be discussing how autistic people think differently. Afterwards, they will have space for one-to-one appointments.
Next, our Autism Hub Discussions series kicks off with a discussion on autism and identity-first and person-first language. This is free to attend and is on from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Afterwards, we’ll be looking for your suggestions for future discussion topics!
As per usual, we have an informal cooking session from 4pm. Anyone can join in and whatever is made will be sold for dinner.
Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau is in from 4pm to 7pm. He’ll be around to offer information on areas like benefits, housing and finance.
Our staff and volunteers will be around for the whole session to offer advocacy support, information and signposting and even peer support. If you need anything from them, just ask.
