Georgia Holden-Burnett, one of our Deputy Managers (pictured on the right), is leaving the Autism AIM team at the start of July for a new role. In nearly five years as part of the wider Autism AIM service, they have achieved a lot.

In their time with us, Georgia has led on the creation of many of our free resources. They include our autism and mental health guides, the LTHT Autism Health Passport, Personal Independence Payment (PIP) guides and health access resources.

Award-winning

Georgia led on sensory audits of mental health inpatient settings, done in partnership with Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. This work won an award back in the autumn of 2023.

They also set up and co-facilitated our monthly in-person and online Mental Health Peer Support group and delivered autism awareness training to professionals across Leeds. Georgia has helped to develop our current volunteering offer and often attended our Autism Hub sessions.

Georgia leaves us with our best wishes. We will really miss working with them, particularly their approach when speaking to a wide range of people.

What happens next?

The in-person and online Mental Health Peer Support Groups for Leeds will continue to go ahead as planned. Another member of AIM staff will be joining Peer Development Worker Nelly as co-facilitator.

Some of Georgia’s work will be taken on by Leeds Autism AIM Deputy Manager Trudi Longbottom and Autism AIM Service Manager Eloise Sutcliffe. If you have any enquiries about Georgia’s work, please email us at [email protected].
