We at Leeds Autism AIM have set the last drop-in Autism Hub date at Lovell Park this month. It will be on Tuesday 22nd April at the normal opening times of 4pm to 7pm.

On the day, we will have some hot food and refreshments. Also, many of our staff team will be there to provide the usual information and signposting. It will be sad to leave after running hub sessions there for more than 10 years, but we do have a new venue in place from next month.

The final booked appointment-only session at the Lovell Park Hub will be on Thursday 1st May. Again, this will be open at the usual times of 4pm to 7pm. The Autism AIM – Mental Health Equity Project’s in-person Mental Health Peer Support Group will be on that date from 6pm to 7pm.

Please note that there is a possibility that the Lovell Park Hub might not close. We will know if this is the case by Monday 28th April. If the Hub is not closing, we will let you know as soon as possible.

Moving to our new venue

Between Monday 5th May and Friday 9th May, we will not be able provide any one-to-one appointments. This is because will be preparing to move to our new Autism Hub venue, which is at the Community Wellbeing Hub in Chapeltown.

The preparation includes moving some of our equipment and resources from the Lovell Park Hub and producing information on how to get there. We will also be producing a visual guide, showing what the new building looks like inside.

After that, we will be running appointment-only sessions to begin with before holding our first drop-in at the new venue.

First drop-in at new venue

Once we have finished our preparations at the Community Wellbeing Hub, our first drop-in Autism Hub session there will be on Tuesday 27th May. It will be open from 4pm-7pm.

From that date onwards, we will continue to hold drop-ins on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. On all other Tuesdays and every Thursday, we will hold appointment-only sessions at the same venue. All Autism Hub sessions will run from 4pm-7pm as usual.

The building’s address is as follows:

The Community Wellbeing Hub
Reginald Terrace
Chapeltown
Leeds
LS7 3EZ

Please note that on Google Maps, it is listed as the BAME Wellbeing Hub. It is located just off Chapeltown Road, near the Reginald Centre. There is some parking on-site, including accessible parking bays.

It is close to bus stops on either side of Chapeltown Road and served by the 2, 3, 3A, 36 and 48 going to and from Leeds City Centre. The 2, 3 and 3A all stop on North Street, near the Lovell Park Hub. More information about how to get there will be published on our website early next month.
