In the first of a new series of free webinars from Leeds Autism AIM, we will be running one on the topic of Autism and Identity. The webinar will explore:

  • What we mean by ‘identity’ and how it relates to autism.
  • How processes of identification and diagnosis can impact how autistic people see ourselves.
  • How others see us (and why it matters).
  • Some identity-related strategies to support well-being and self-esteem.

When is the webinar?

It takes place on Thursday 25th July from 6pm-7pm on Zoom. The webinar is free to attend and will be presented by Dr Gill Loomes-Quinn, our Peer Development Worker. Away from her role with Leeds Autism AIM, Gill is also an academic.

The talk will last for 45 minutes, with the remaining 15 minutes set aside for a question and answer session. Gill’s talk will be recorded, but the Q&A will not. The recording will not include others in the meeting, as everyone will be muted to make it easier to hear what Gill has to say.

Please note that this webinar is for autistic adults (aged 18 and over) only. If you have any questions about the webinar, please email us at [email protected].
