The Leeds Autism Reference Group is to meet later this month, looking at the Leeds Autism Strategy to see what can be changed. In the meeting, they will:

  • Talk about new ideas for the next Leeds Autism Strategy
  • Ask what the key themes should be e.g. mental health, employment
  • What you would like to see in it

Who is the meeting for?

The Reference Group meeting is for autistic adults (aged 18 and over) who live in the Leeds City Council area. It is free to attend.

At the end of the meeting, the Group will choose up to three people to represent them at the Leeds Adult Autism Partnership Board meeting in March. This is where the Group can present their ideas for the new Leeds Autism Strategy to commissioners, the Council and local services working with autistic adults.

Joining this group is a great opportunity to help improve local services and support for the wider autistic population.

When is the meeting?

It is on Tuesday 27th February from 5pm to 6:30pm. The meeting will be on Microsoft Teams, which can be accessed on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

If you would like to join the meeting, please email our team at [email protected]. Then, we will send on the details for joining. If you cannot make the meeting, but would like to share your thoughts about what should be in the new Autism Strategy, please email us your ideas and we will pass them on to the Partnership Board.
