Our monthly online Coproduction Group will be looking at two guides we are working on. The first is a guide to reasonable adjustments. We will be adding to our existing guide and would welcome any input from autistic adults on what to include.
The second guide is one we are planning for – a guide to meltdowns. We would like to explain what they are, why they happen and what people can do to support someone if they are having a meltdown. Once complete, both guides will be available to download for free from our website.
When is the group?
The group is on Tuesday 19th September from 5:30pm to 7pm. It will take place on the Zoom app and is free to attend. To attend, you must be an autistic adult (aged 18 and over) and either live in the Leeds City Council or be registered with a Leeds GP.
By contributing when in the group, you will be helping other autistic adults to know about how to ask for reasonable adjustments in a variety of settings. You will also be helping to create a resource that helps people to understand meltdowns.
Get involved
If you would like to attend, please email us at [email protected] and we will send on the Zoom details the day before the group meets. Should you be unable to make the group but still want to have a say on what the guides should include, please email us and we will send you draft copies of the guides to review in your own time.
