In the first of our new series of food-based #AutisticLifeHacks, the Leeds Autism AIM team came up with one around adding bulk to dishes that usually have meat in them. Meat can be expensive, but this hack offers a route round that:

“If you’re skint and struggle to afford meat, there is a way round it. You can make dishes such as bolognese and curries with pulses like lentils. They are cheap, tasty and packed with protein.

“The reason for that is pretty obvious. You can make a big pot of something that can last a few days.”
