Hospital beds

At the Lovell Autism Hub later this month, we have two guest speakers from the NHS Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT). They will be coming in to talk about accessing health services as an autistic patient in all of the NHS-run hospitals in Leeds.

Alison Conyers, Lead Professional for Learning Disabilities and Autism, will be joined at the Hub by Rosemary Horsman, the patient liaison lead for LTHT. They will introduce their service and how they can offer support to autistic patients in hospitals.

They will talk about areas including reasonable adjustments and how you can communicate your needs with them. LTHT recently did a video about reasonable adjustments; you can watch it below:

Alison and Rosemary are really open to comments and questions. If you feel more comfortable to send them via email ahead of the session, you are more than welcome to do that. Otherwise, you can talk to them face to face.
