Our weekly drop-in welcomes guest speakers, whilst our now-weekly quiet session on Friday continues apace. Here is what we have planned for both of next week’s Hub sessions:
Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 16th October – 3:30-7pm
First at the Hub, the DWP will be in for employment advice from 3:30-5pm. This is on a one-to-one basis, where they can give you pointers on finding and keeping work, as well as CVs, interviews and applying for jobs.
Next, Women’s Lives Leeds will be in to talk to the Women’s Group about what they do. This will be from 4:30pm until 5:30pm.
Afterwards, the Women’s Group will meet from 5:30-6:30pm. They will be revisiting the topic of feelings. This group is open to and led by autistic women in the Leeds area.
Chapeltown Citizens Advice are in for the whole session. They can provide support around areas including benefits and money. You need to book an appointment to see them.
Our staff and volunteers are in as always. They can provide limited advocacy support, information and signposting.
Friday Autism Hub – 4-7pm
Our weekly quiet session is just for booked appointments. On Fridays, we can offer:
- Limited advocacy support
- One-to-one peer support
- Self-advocacy tools e.g. autism alert cards
- Information and signposting
