The first reference group of 2018 for autistic people that feeds into the Leeds Autism Strategy is on later this month. The Autism Reference Group will happen on Tuesday 27th February at the Lovell Autism Hub from 5pm to 6:30pm.
This meeting, which happens once every three months, is for autistic adults in Leeds. It allows those who come to have their say on what services in the city should do for autistic people. Topics previously discussed at these meetings include employment, mental health, transport and housing.
Whatever is raised at the meeting will then be passed on to the Autism Partnership Board. They meet in March to provide answers to the questions asked by the Reference Group and will try to act on what was raised. Up to three people who come to the meeting can attend the Autism Partnership Board meeting, which is on Thursday 22nd March.
