Lovell Autism Hub

The temperatures outside may be plunging, but our hub sessions are still there to provide advocacy, information and signposting as per usual. Here’s what we have happening next week at the Lovell and Friday Autism Hubs:

Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 5th December – 3:30pm-7pm

First on at our weekly drop-in, we have the Tabletop Gaming Group from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. There are, at the time of writing, a couple of free spaces available, but if you want to find out more about the group, the organisers are happy to speak to you!

We’ll be around to produce personalised resources from 3:30pm to 7pm. These include autism alert cards, hospital passports, GP profiles and directions to meeting venues. If you need any doing, all you need to do is ask and we’ll help you out.

Cooking is on from 4pm. It’s an informal session where anyone can join in. The food that’s cooked at the end of each session will be served for dinner at an affordable price.

Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau will be in from 3:30pm to 7pm. He’s in to give information on topics like benefits e.g. Universal Credit and personal finance.

Our staff are in for the whole session to give advocacy support and provide information and signposting to relevant services if you need it.

Friday Autism Hub – Friday 8th December – 4pm-7pm

Our fortnightly Hub session is purely for booked appointments. On the day, we have:

  • Advocacy support
  • Employment advice
  • Advice from Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau until 6pm

To come along and receive any of the above, you need to book an appointment. To do so, please contact us.
