For the first weekly drop-in session of October, we welcome a guest speaker, among other things. Here is what we have going on at next week’s Lovell Autism Hub session:
Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 3rd October – 3:30pm-7pm
From 3:30pm to 6:30pm, we have our Tabletop Gaming Group. There are one or two spaces free for people to join in, but it’s on a first come, first served basis.
Next, there is our informal cooking session from 4pm. It’s something that anyone can join in and whatever the group cooks will be served as dinner for £2.50 a portion.
Dr Elizabeth Guest from Aspiedent will be delivering a talk from 5pm about how she and Aspiedent can help autistic people looking for work. Elizabeth will then be around to answer any questions you might have.
Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau will be in as per usual for the whole session. He will be in to offer any info on difficult areas like benefits and personal finance.
Our staff and volunteers are available all session to offer advocacy support, information, signposting and peer support.
Finally, between 4pm and 5pm, the Hub will be taking part in Autism Hour. During that time, we will dim the lights throughout the venue and keep all of the rooms as quiet as possible.
