Vale Circles Autism Hub

After responding to feedback and funding changes, Leeds Autism AIM will be trialling new drop in sessions from April. The Thursday autism drop-in at Vale Circles will close on Thursday 30th March, but we will be running a second, quieter session at Lovell Park and reducing the Tuesday session at Lovell to 3.30pm-7pm.

Many thanks to funding received from Leeds South and East CCG (through the Leeds Community Foundation) to develop the Vale Circles drop-in and wider support, and also to Vale users and staff for their consideration in sharing the space with us.

We would also like to thank Caroline Painter, our Advocacy Assistant, for being so useful in her role at Vale. We wish her the very best of luck for the future in her role with Specialist Autism Services.

Supporting people

We have supported 111 people at this quieter drop-in and have also been able to make links to services to help support local autistic adults that we will continue to develop. The Tuesday drop-in at Lovell Park is continuing to be more in-demand and busy with several new groups, so we have agreed to trial a second session at that venue.

This will be every fortnight on Fridays from 4pm-7pm from the end of April and will be a much quieter session for groups and booked appointments, so that we can follow up any issues one-to-one with people that need it.

To manage this, we will be running the main Tuesday session at Lovell Park from 3.30pm-7pm from Friday 25th April. We hope this will mean we can continue to build on the fantastic partnership working we have developed and be able to continue to support new groups and activities.
