As part of their work to help improve access to mental health services and support for autistic adults, the Autism AIM – Mental Health Equity Project team have a survey out. It will ask autistic adults in the Leeds area for their thoughts and experiences of accessing mental health services.
In the survey, there are questions on:
- Whether or not you are accessing mental health services
- If services met your needs as an autistic person
- The accessibility of mental health services for you
- Whether services are aware of your needs after meeting with you
- What would help improve mental health services
Any feedback given in the surveys will be passed on to the relevant people and organisations to help them improve mental health support for autistic adults locally.
Focus groups
As well as the online survey, AIM will also be holding focus groups online and in-person about accessing mental health services. The online ones will be on Zoom and the in-person ones will be at our Autism Hub. Dates for the in-person groups will be confirmed soon.
If you are interested in joining one of those, there is a question in the survey where you can say you want to take part.
