Due to the situation around Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the temporary closure of the Lovell Autism Hub, the next Autism Reference Group meeting will take place online via Zoom. It will be hosted by the Leeds Autism AIM team and will be chaired by Dr. Sharon Elley, autistic chair of the Reference Group.
The Reference Group is where autistic adults in Leeds can have their say on what local services should do for them. It feeds into the Leeds Adult Autism Partnership Board, which is made up of commissioners, service providers and representatives of the Autism Reference Group and Carers Reference Group.
How can I get involved?
The meeting takes place on Tuesday 9th June at 3pm on Zoom. It finishes at 4:30pm. To receive an invite to the meeting, please email the Leeds Autism AIM team at [email protected]. Then, they will send you a call ID and password so you can sign in when the meeting starts.
When signing in on Zoom, you have the options to turn video on or off and mute yourself if you just want to listen in to what is being discussed. You can join the call via phone, on your web browser or by downloading the Zoom app on your smartphone, desktop, laptop or tablet.
Have your say
If you cannot join in the Reference Group, but would like to raise something at the meeting, you can email the AIM team using the email address earlier in this blog post. They will then pass it on to the chair so it can be added to the agenda.
When you email us, please let us know if you would like to give your name when sending on your suggestion to the Reference Group or remain anonymous. We will pass on the minutes for this meeting to you once they have been finalised.
