Our monthly autistic-led Cafe Autistique discussion group will be talking about the topic of special interests this November. The group aims to look at what it is that make special interests so appealing to autistic people, why they are important and how useful they are for such things as relaxation.
This blog post on The Mighty explains why special interests are important to some autistic people: https://themighty.com/2017/06/special-interests-autism-spectrum/. The topic was requested by people who came to October’s Cafe Autistique discussion group.
