The final Autism Reference Group meeting of 2025 will be discussing meltdowns, shutdowns and autistic burnout. This is the forum for autistic adults living in Leeds to have their say on local services and support. It is linked to the Leeds Adult Autism Partnership Board.

At the meeting, group members will be asked:

  • What they would like local services working with autistic adults to know about meltdowns, shutdowns and autistic burnout
  • What are the challenges involved when experiencing meltdowns, shutdowns and autistic burnout
  • What can help you when experiencing them

Towards the end of the meeting, members can put themselves forward to represent the Autism Reference Group at the next Autism Partnership Board meeting.

When is the meeting?

It is on Wednesday 3rd December from 4:30pm to 6pm on Microsoft Teams. The group is free to attend and is for autistic adults in the Leeds City Council area only.

If you would like to join, please email Phil Chan – Leeds City Council’s Neurodiversity Commissioning Programme Leader – at [email protected]. Please also email Phil if you cannot make the meeting but would like to share your thoughts on the topic.
