In November, we will be running free training sessions for anyone who wants to become a volunteer Autism Mentor. Our Mentoring service helps autistic adults to set and achieve life goals and overcome barriers and supports dozens of people in Leeds.

Mentors meet regularly with mentees and are given access to training and expenses, as well as a DBS check. More information about the mentor’s role can be found on our Mentoring page.

When is the training?

The training will be delivered mainly by autistic adults and will be across three sessions on the following dates and times:

  • Autism Awareness Training – Saturday 11th November, 10am-3:30pm
  • Mentoring Training – Saturday 25th November, 11am-3:30pm
  • Volunteer Induction – Wednesday 29th November, 5pm-8pm

All three sessions will be at The Advonet Group’s office, at this address:

The Advonet Group
Unity Business Centre
26 Roundhay Road
Leeds
LS7 1AB

The venue has step-free access, as well as accessible toilets. We will provide refreshments for all three training sessions. More information on the office and how to get there can be found here: Map and Office Directions.
