Following our Autistic Utopia discussion on Tuesday 29th March, we have put together a ‘manifesto’ document. This is based on what autistic adults taking part in the group said.

The manifesto covers five areas:

  • Employment
  • Transport
  • Public buildings and spaces
  • Housing
  • Education

It lists suggestions for making each area more accessible for autistic people. All suggestions are listed in bullet points to make them easier to read.

Suggestions included making it easier to ask for reasonable adjustments at work, introducing quiet cubicles on buses and ensuring housing services receive autism awareness/acceptance training from autistic people.
