Lovell Autism Hub

The last weekly drop-in session of the month sees a couple of popular groups return, along with all of the usual support. Here’s what you can expect to see at next week’s Lovell Autism Hub:

Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 28th November – 3:30pm-7pm

Firstly, Wil from Specialist Autism Services will be talking about their apprenticeship and self-employment offerings. He’s in from 4pm and will be around to answer questions afterwards.

Next up at Lovell, Aspiedent’s Employment Session is back from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. They will spend the first hour talking about communication issues. The second hour is for one-to-one sessions.

There is an informal cooking session from 4pm, where anyone can join in. The food that gets made will then be sold on as dinner for anyone who wants it.

Our monthly discussion group, Cafe Autistique, will be talking about the topics of self-improvement and life hacks. This group runs from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and is open to autistic adults and their parents, carers and partners.

Ian from the Chapeltown Citizens Advice Bureau is in for the whole session, as always. He can give useful information on topics like benefits and personal finance.

Our team of staff and volunteers will be in from start to finish, there to offer advocacy support, information, signposting and, from our autistic staff/volunteers, peer support.
