Lovell and Vale

This coming week at both of our Autism drop-ins promises plenty to do for both autistic adults and carers/parents. Here’s what you can expect to find at Lovell Park and Vale Circles:

Lovell Autism Hub – Tuesday 14th March – 1.30pm-7pm

First on at Lovell, we have employment advice from 2pm to 4pm, courtesy of the DWP. There, you can receive advice on finding work, keeping work and going into volunteering. If you want to make an appointment, please send us an email.

Next up, Aspiedent will be back with their fortnightly employability drop-in from 4pm to 6pm. It’s for anyone who needs tips on finding the right job and wants to ready themselves for the world of work.

The Leeds Autism Diagnostic Service (LADS) team will be in from 3pm to 5pm, offering consultations to autistic adults in Leeds. They have some spaces still available.

Carers Leeds are to hold their monthly drop-in for parents/carers of autistic adults in the city. That’s on from 5pm to 6.30pm.

Finally, the quarterly autistic people’s reference group meeting for the Leeds Autism Strategy is happening. From 5.15pm to 6.45pm, it provides autistic adults with an opportunity to feed into how services for autistic people are run in Leeds, focusing on a set number of topics. All autistic adults in Leeds are welcome to attend.

Vale Autism Hub – Thursday 16th March – 2pm to 7pm

At Vale this coming Thursday, there are a couple of things on to pique your interest, alongside all the usual advocacy support, information and advice from our staff.

Throughout the session, we will have employment advice. It’s there for autistic folks in Leeds who want some tips on how to find a job, stay in work or find a voluntary role to build up their skillsets.

Our monthly support group for LGBTQIA* autistic adults is back! That’s from 5.30pm to 7pm and is there for anyone who wants to discuss the experience of being autistic and LGBTQIA*.
